- Lighten the original base coat blue slighty and splodge it on.
- whilst it is still wet add more white or cream to the light blue paint , wet your brush and put that on top. blending as you go
- Lighten paint still further, adding a tiny amount to surface of the previous layer, again wet brush, and blend in the other layers keeping surface fairly wet, until you are happy with mottled result!
- This is an optional stage, you could just use a gloss varnish, or leave it just painted. What we have done, as previously mentioned is add a thin layer of Liquitex acrylic Gloss Gel Medium.*
